Julia Adriana is a 26-year-old singer-songwriter from Rotterdam whose music blends indie, pop, soul, and acoustic influences. Inspired by artists such as Joni Mitchell, The Eagles, and Etta James, she began singing in choirs in Brabant alongside her grandmother. After graduating as a vocalist from the Rotterdam Conservatory in 2022, she spent two years refining her sound, teaching herself piano and guitar.
Her debut EP ‘Homemade Love’ (May 2025), created with Anton van Room, combines layered harmonies and warm, organic production, drawing subtle inspiration from The 1975 and Lizzy McAlpine. Her melancholic tone and expressive delivery have drawn comparisons to Eva Cassidy. The release was followed by a sold-out show in Amsterdam.
In 2025, Julia joined Popronde, performing in 16 cities both solo and with her band. Highlights included the official opening at De Stevenskerk and closing the tour at Melkweg. She also performed at Paradijsvogels in Paradiso with Ciao Lucifer and Gerson Main, appeared at Know The Unknown (curated by Bente) at De Lieve Vrouw, and played festivals including Hit The City and Rapunzel Festival.
Since late 2025, she has been working on her second EP, ‘Too Late To Be Confused’, co-written with Will Knox and Ciaran Lavery and recorded in a 1970s villa near Gouda. The title track was written during a songwriting trip to Portugal with Knox. In the lead-up to the release, acoustic versions of Homemade Love gained online attention from Joe Jonas and Meghan Trainor.
Alongside her solo career, Julia works as a backing vocalist and songwriter. She has collaborated with BLØF and will join the band for 21 theatre shows in April and May 2026, as well as appear at the closing concert of Concert at SEA. With a growing audience on TikTok, she continues to reinterpret well-known songs while developing her own distinctive voice.
